What would you do if you were walking home from school and you found a book on the ground. Upon opening the book you read the following:
You would probably think this was a joke. I would. Until, you and I, just like Light, the boy who did pick up the note book, tried to use the death note. When it worked, you’d probably be pretty freaked out. Not Light. Once he picked up the Death Note his whole life changed. After Light touches the note book for the first time he forms a connection with its owner, Ryuk, an 8 foot tall Death God (Shinigami) who can only be seen by the possessor of the death note. Light becomes obsessed almost immediately, taking the punishment of criminals into his own hands. Of course, the mysterious deaths of criminals has not gone wholly unnoticed. Enter L, the world’s greatest detective. As soon as L arrives the noose around Light’s neck begins to tighten.
Death Note is the ultimate battle of wits. The intelligence of Light and L is astounding, kudos to Ohba, who in my opinion has surpassed Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the mystery genre. The characters are very intriguing and the plot will suck you in so much so that you should block out some time, and prepare some meals, because once you start you seriously cannot stop. The series concludes after 12 issues, which is nice, this is no 500 volume Dragon Ball series.
Ryuk is my favorite character in the story and possibly in all Manga. You have never met a more hilarious Shinigami. His contribution to Death Note is monumental, posing as a quasi-conscience for Light. This is easily my favorite manga of all time. Unless you absolutely hate creativity and engaging stories then avoid this one otherwise, do it!

I thought the movie was just OK, I didn’t like the changes in plot. The Manga is soo wonderful!! The story is intellegent and fast-paced. Loved it.

I love the TV show some of my RP friends were talking about it so i decided to check it out. the first episode i saw was Episode 7 ;lucky i decided to see it that soon. i can’t believe how the show ended though… btw my favorite characters is Near and Light.

Lol I just got a Death Note last night as I am a big fan of the series, have seen every episode and movie and have read every book. I also really like L and Misa and have multiple Nendoroids of them !
“hadi_radcliffe”, who wouldn’t want a perfect world of good ppl but you need to understand one important issue here. Just like terms: “what goes up must come down” as well as other phrases; what it implements is a “balance”. As such, there has to be bad fella alongside the good in the order to maintain a B-A-L-A-N-C-E. I can see from your feedback that you are putting up a narrow-view & more importantly, it is not us who judge but GOD.
The movie, Death Note was good. I’ve watched both the movie releases in the theatre. However, I think they sensored or rather removed some parts making it seems incomplete aside from the ending that is said to be different from the manga.

I absolutely love Ryuk and Rem!! Ryuk is my type of character…twisted. Rem is the more gentle side but it was awesome. I just finished watching the 2nd movie and it had me on the edge of my seat at some parts. I’m not big into anime but I’m big into Deathnote.
Death Note is diffidently one of the best mangas I have ever seen. This manga, along with the anime is one of the biggest series currently out. When I got the whole series I couldn’t put them down. Now for the whole L vs Light thing,

Light is a mass murder, and a very selfish person. He specks of a better world where everyone can live in peace, but can they do that when hundreds of people are being killed? Family members, friends, and loved ones. He is very selfish because he doesn’t have to be a god, all he has to do is make the world a better place in secret. Its very selfish of you to call yourself a god if you are human, am I right? He wants people to kiss his feet and do anything he says day in and day out, that is selfish. He wants to rule the world with an iron fist(in this case a death note) how is that not selfish? He uses fear to get what he wants, sounds like a dictator to me. He takes advantage of love to achieve his goals, he manipulates everybody, how is that not evil or selfish? He thinks he is a god, he thinks he is better then everyone else and hes not, hes evil! End of story! but I still love the guy.
Now I get to talk about crazy. Yes, I mean foolish L. L has a very big sweet tooth, how does he not get fat? You never see him exercise, and what about cavities? We never see him brush his teeth. L needs a better diet!(Not really, that is what makes L, L. His big old sweet tooth) Does he ever sleep? I have never ever seen L in the anime or the mangas sleep. Does he not like to sleep? Also he never has socks on, why?(Yes I know that’s one of his things, but shut up!) They keep your feet warm and clean, what if he steps on something sharp? It will go right threw his foot. This guy also has no social skills what so ever. Why didn’t Wammy or Watari teach him how to talk to other human beings? That’s kind of important. Apparently that did not teach in large class rooms at Wammy’s house. L also is a bit of a lair. You can’t tell if his shocking reasoning is true or not. My final words about L are that he is not human. Hes weird, but that’s why we love him.

I love death note i watched it and it gave me a diff veiw of japanes police. I told my new discovery of this anime to my aunt and uncle (who i live w/) and they said they didnt approve of it just b/cuz of the name. this made me so mad i dont think there is a single word to describe my fiury!!!!!!! I love all anime in genral but my top two favorite anime are Inuyasha And death note. Death Note is my top fave. then its Inuyasha!!! Ive seen the creator of Inuyasha but i want to see the creator of death note is it a she or a he? is she/he old or young and beautiful/cute? Im afraid ill never know….and oh yeah i sit like N love candy barz like M have dark outlined eyes like L, love playing God like Kira, and have a higher grade than my class mates like Light!!! I know Light and Kira are the same ppl but thay seem to be two tottaly diff ppl!!!! It bites that L dies!!!!!!!! but i like the fact that Kira dies in the end even though i kinda liked him!!! i absolutely love DEATHNOTE! Especially the character of Light. This character reminds me of most of the people in the world, when they have the power in their hands thay always”take it for granted”. And i saw this in Light’s character! And I love the L’s character, he did an amazing job of manipulated the whole scene and found, narrowed and figured the cause of these mistreous deaths.
